SIID Lab in the College of Performance, Visualization, and Fine Arts (PVFA) at Texas A&M University (TAMU) is seeking exceptional researchers and students to work on Human Computer Interaction and 3D User Interface Research.
Our research agenda encompasses:
AI-powered intelligent user interfaces for AR/VR/XR applications
Novel interaction techniques for AR/VR/XR applications
Remote collaboration in immersive environments
Advancing high-fidelity AR/VR/XR prototyping through generative AI
1. Student Researchers
Start Period: Summer 2025
Responsibilities:
Develop AR/VR/XR prototypes for user studies
Perform research-related tasks, including user study, research paper writing
Attend weekly progress meeting
Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate or Graduate students majoring in Visualization, Computer Science, Information Science, or other related fields
Previous research experience or publications in HCI/3DUI venues preferred
Strong programming skills and practical experience in Unity AR/VR development
Experience with AR/ML libraries and back-end development is a plus
Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative on projects
